April 28th marks the National Day of Mourning. Last year, 158 B.C. workers died from a workplace injury or disease.
The Campbell River, Courtenay & District Labour Council is holding a commemorative event at Frank James Park to remember those whose lives were lost or significantly altered on the job. Join us and if you wish, bring a remembrance wreath to be placed at the Workers' Memorial Plaque in the park. Guest speakers include local MP, Rachel Blaney and MLA, Claire Trevena.
A time to gather to remember and renew our commitment to creating healthy and safe workplaces.
